Thank you everyone for the email messages and comments below the videos. It means a great deal to know you are enjoying these performances and to know music is always important and meaningful. It's been a while since I spent much time at the piano, but with a bit of elbow grease, I was able to get my alter ego, the disgruntled accompanist, into adequate shape for the task. Please enjoy Edward Elgar's Salut d'Amour, 'Love's Greeting'.
Did you know Elgar wrote the piece as an engagement present for his fiancé? Have any of you created any homemade gifts this year? Feel free to let me know in the comments. I welcome comments in second and third languages too! ;) (thanks Marg!)
PS. I'm currently offering gift certificates for my learn-to-read-music courses for adults. These courses are particularly good if you're a bit shy- the courses start with the very basics and you work on your own, but I'm right there to type you answers if questions come up! You don't need to come with any skills or knowledge- thanks for sending me any questions and for spreading the word!
